My dear old mum keeps saying every year that she would like a photo of bluebells and I’ve left it to dad to do the shoot but he’s not come up with the desired results. I’m hoping this wil please her.

Don’t be fooled by the feeling of peacefulness shown here; just around 100 metres to the left is the M3 with the traffic thundering by. This is Micheldever Woods just to the north of the Winchester Services. I was annoyed to find that it has been featured in several photographic magazines as one of “the” places for a good show of bluebells; no, it’s terrible – go elsewhere!
