Great panes

I think I’m coming to the end of the shots of my trip to western Canada; just another week’s worth of images to go, I think. It’s a bit of a worry as I’m not too sure what to show you next; I’ll find something, though!

This is taken inside the Parliament Building looking out across the waterfront. Visible here are the fountain that’s been featured and the statue of Queen Victoria where the plinth provided the nice reflective surface. Just out of shot to the left is the Knowledge Totem and off shot to the right is the Empress Hotel – oh, you’re see that tomrrow! So from a very compact area, there is so much to see and enjoy.

Parliament Building

I’ve posted this before just after my visit in 2008 but I’m including again for completeness. Yet another view of the Disneyland-like appearance of the Parliament Buiilding.

Several of you have suggested that I could put together a book with the photos from my trip. That’s exactly what I am doing and I’ve spent the past week or so getting it going. I’m using the excellent software from www.blurb.com as they have had good reviews and it’s one of the few packages that will work on a Mac (they do a Windows version, too). I have done something similar with photos from several trips to Oregon, USA using www.fotobook.co.uk and I was very impressed with that; the quality of reproduction of the photos and my typos was superb! I could even forgive them for not being about to spell “photo” properly! No Mac version at the moment, though
